The app

Kazhy is a macOS voice-to-text app for Apple Silicon Macs running macOS 14 or newer. You get a personal, non-transferable license to use it on Macs you own.

It is free

Kazhy is free to download and free to use, in full. There is no subscription, no account, no trial, and no limit on how much you dictate. Nothing on this site is for sale.

Cloud transcription runs on your own key

Transcription on your Mac needs nothing from anyone. Cloud transcription and AI Styles are optional, and they run on a Groq API key that you create on your own Groq account and paste into Kazhy. When you use them, your audio goes from your Mac to Groq directly. It does not pass through us.

That makes your agreement for the cloud service a matter between you and Groq, under Groq's own terms, and we are not a party to it. We do not control Groq's pricing, its limits, its availability, or what it does with a request. If Groq changes any of those, or stops letting people use it for nothing, Kazhy keeps transcribing on your Mac, which is what it does without a key anyway.

Acceptable use

Don't use Kazhy to break the law or to violate other people's privacy. What you may send to Groq is governed by Groq's terms rather than ours.

Warranty and liability

Kazhy is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any damages arising from its use. Kazhy is free, so there is no purchase price for a liability to be measured against.
